Candidate for ASB President
Garfield High School · Class of 2028
"ASB should serve students, not the other way around."
About Zach
Zach is a sophomore at Garfield, an officer of the Improv Club, and a rower. He currently serves in the Leadership Class and previously held office as Freshman Class Secretary.
Before high school, Zach served as president of his middle school. There, he set out to modernize student government — expanding representation, sharpening its operations, and securing a permanent student voting seat on the Building Leadership Team. At Garfield, he's continued that work in the Leadership Class, where he helped launch and now leads the Student Senate. He learned that real change in a student body happens when someone is willing to do the work nobody else will.
When wood rots, you don't paint over it — you cut it out and rebuild. With a proposed rewrite of the ASB constitution, that's exactly what Zach is setting out to do: redesign student government around the principles it should have stood on all along — accountability, transparency, and respect for every student.
